'GALLERIES', 'DIFFERENT NATURES', 'OBJECTS', 'GARDENS' AND 'A PACKET OF SEEDS'
‘Galleries’, Ian’s first book, was published in 2015. It took as its general theme exhibitions, artists and paintings. Stories in this collection include an alien trying to understand the emotions triggered by famous art and a strangely marked sculpture created with a deadly purpose.
'Different Natures' was published in 2016, and concerns the darker side of nature in a world where things aren't always what they seem. This book features a hidden danger lurking within a luscious fruit and a waxy object containing a watery secret.
The stories in 'Objects' feature inanimate items which affect the people around them, either for good or ill. Published in 2017, tales here include a quilt that comes to life and a strange animal-shaped brooch with alien intent.
'Gardens', Ian's fifth book, was published in 2019. The theme here is of both gardens and gardeners, but in a variety of settings and guises. Stories in this collection include deadly smiling gnomes and a strange circle of trees in a monastery garden.
All fifty-five stories in 'A Packet Of Seeds' were written through Ian's association with three creative writing groups. Published in 2020, the tales in this collection range from dark to light-hearted and from science fiction to mythology.
